Located just outside the pretty Market town of Frodsham, the hotel has recently been renovated to create one of the most stunning hideaways in Cheshire. The building dates from 1860 and has an enviable heritage being the former home of John Paul Getty 1st and more recently The Queen of Yugoslavia..

The former Victorian Ballroom now serves as the main restaurant named after Charles Rennie Mackintosh the famous Scottish Artist and Architect; the fine Stained Glass Art Deco Windows, a feature of the magnificent panelled room, being attributed to him. Pictures of the Rich and Famous that have frequented the Hotel over the years adorn the walls whilst the contemporary furnishings complement the many antiques and period pictures and paintings. The result is a comfortable blend of old and new, creating an atmosphere which is relaxed, informal and distinctive.

The Hotel, with its 10 acre wooded hilltop location, boasts a wide variety of plants and wildlife and walks along the hidden paths and tracks rewards you with breath taking views over the Cheshire countryside and beautiful scenery. The house overlooks the water garden with its fountain and waterfalls, whilst hidden amongst the woodland the intrepid explorer will find an awe-inspiring natural rock garden, complete with cliffs and caves.
